How does AI background removal work?

The AI analyses every pixel in the image to distinguish the subject (person, product, logo) from the background. The result is a PNG file with an alpha channel — the background becomes fully transparent while the subject is preserved with smooth edges. The entire process is automatic, no manual editing required.

Which types of images give the best results?

Portrait photos, product shots against a plain or studio background, and logos on white give excellent results. Images with complex backgrounds (crowds, multi-colour chaos) are processed but may require more time. Low-contrast images where the subject blends into the background may yield less accurate cutouts.

Which formats are supported? What is the file size limit?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC (the default format for iPhone photos). Maximum 20MB per image. Output is always a 32-bit transparent PNG — the only format with full alpha channel support.

What can I use transparent PNG files for?

A transparent PNG can be placed on any background — another photo, a solid colour, a gradient. Use it in Photoshop for compositing, in Canva for social media design, in PowerPoint or Word for professional slides. Widely used for e-commerce product images and profile photos.

Are my images safe?

Yes. All transfers use HTTPS encryption. Images are processed on our private servers and automatically deleted after 15 minutes. We never view, analyse, or share your images with any third party.

How long does background removal take?

Usually 5-15 seconds depending on image complexity and current server load. Simple portrait shots typically take under 10 seconds. The page updates automatically when processing is complete — no need to refresh.
